Thanks for getting over humpday!

When I woke up this morning I was in a 'funk' and thought I'd never push myself at the gym today. I was running late getting the kids out the door but I made a point to check our blog. Thankfully I did. Reading everyone's tips and motivations helped me regroup mentally! Thank you for that! I have had a mental block w. running lately. I just couldn't get to a mile. I got to .9, .95, .99. But just kept quitting. I don't know why. I've run farther than that in the past. So, I started running and ran to 1.5! I think I could have done more, but just walked the rest of it. Then I did weights (abs/legs).

Yesterday I weighed in and gained 3 pounds.....hmmmm......gotta stay off the scale. It obviously has me confused w. someone who is eating fun food! My pledge.....do not weigh yourself until the end of the month!

I'm 75% done w. my book. I have to say if you are inspired by others.....these books are great! Definetly a 'chick thing'. I'm lending both books to Teresa, so if anyone wants them next, they are worth the quick read!

Gotta go try some of Cloie's stretches so my shins don't hurt! Enjoy the day! Seize it!

  1. Oh, Pam, sorry for the pup of the day. I just wanted a daily reminder to 'hug your pets'. :)

  2. Way to go babe. I'll have to work out harder, so you don't show me up in florida.

  3. hi. okay, plan was...1/2 a mile more on my route....bad plan, BAD PLAN! instead of that, i ran a mile less! hurt my shins again, coming down hill. i was doin so great too and then bam, ouch! my pride limped me home the other 1 1/2 miles...lame. i suppose it still counts as heart rate....you know, from the pain and the anger...lol. I'm better...feet up, shines iced and motrined. i will medicate with wine later. did I say my ego hurts? it does.....

by the way, great job today Kathy and remember that muscle weighs more than fat....and not wieghing yourself for a while is really the healthiest way to be. I'm proud of you!

we are leaving for Disney on friday morning so my posts will be less...i think. cuz i can't see to get this thing to work on my phone. but maybe i could wear a pedometer to see what I end up with everyday after walking around the park. we'll see how it goes, cuz i don't think there will be much working out with my family( and in laws) making the park schedules everyday. it will be busy...:o)

    thanks for the support!

  4. Kathy - good for you getting over the 1 mile mark.

Cloie - "They" say the average Disney guest walks 5 miles a day. Might not get your heart rate up, but you'll get in the exercise.

I stuck to my goal today and got in 30 minutes on the elliptical after I came home from subbing. Did a "fatburn" setting again, which seems to be the hardest one... or at least the hardest for me. I didn't weigh myself like you did, Kathy, but the jeans I put on after my shower are M-U-C-H tighter than they've been. So... just focusing on being consistent with 30 minutes a day. I can check that off the "to do" list!
