Appropriate for hump day! Today I'm working on my butt!!!!!!!
Last night I came across 3 "Butt Firming Cardio" workouts. One on Eliptical, one on treadmill and lastly the stair climber. So, I'm going to try them today. I'll let you know how it goes!
Elliptical: amp up the elevation (aim for 5 to 10) and lower the resistance (4-6).This combo targets your hamstrings and butt!
Treadmill: Set the machines incline to at least 5 percent. Then every 2-3 minutes, bump up the incline a little more until you feel like you can't take it any higher.
Stair Climber: Cross your right foot over your left as you step up for 5-15 minutes. Then switch sides. This can be tough but do what you can, you will build your time.
CONGRATS Pam for only missing 2 days. Doesn't it feel good. Another week or so and you'll need the workouts and won't want to miss.

ReplyDeleteBella is TOO cute!!! Only thing keeping me from wanting another dog as I look at her picture is listening to Hazel bark and cry about there being a squirrel outside that "needs" to be chased! She keeps pacing back and forth between me and the window. I think she wants out. ;->
ReplyDeleteGonna get on the elliptical later today. Mine is a "cheap-o" elliptical and doesn't have a way to change the elevation. I wonder if I prop up the front if that will have the same effect...
Ahhhh. My butt hurts. I mean that in a good way! I did the treadmill workout and the stairclimber. Was too tired for the eliptical too. I think I decided today that Wed will be "bootie day" for me each week.I get a cardio workout and focus on the side I don't see very often! Also did a little abs/back. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOkay... so make it 3 days I've missed. I never did anything yesterday. But... as soon as the kids get on the bus this a.m., I'm getting on the elliptical. I'm starting to feel my activity (I dont' call it working out, 'cause I'm only doing 30 minutes at a time). My calfs are a little tight and my sides are a little sore, so that's a good thing.

Made it to the gym, worked out half hour on the elliptical and half hour on the treadmill. All the "other" resolutioners are starting to slowly quit so I hope to start a Strive class in February. Weighed myself, and had gained a half a pound, but that's what I get for not sticking to working out!! As always, thanks for the motivation to keep my butt moving!
