Helllllooooo Sunshine!

If the kids were not home today it would be a great day to run. Isn't it funny how that works. I gave myself a pass and had some beer (yum) on Saturday! But it was a good 3 weeks and I felt I deserved it! Now it's time to get serious again.

I went to the gym this morning. Typical eliptical/treadmill/weight work out. Looking forward to Body Pump tomorrow. I'm going to up my weights!

My swimsuit should be coming today or tomorrow. So, my motivation should kick it up a notch once I try it on! Hope you all have a good workout/clean eating week! Can't wait to hear all about it!

  1. Just finished another 35 mintues on my elliptical and did 5 of it going backwards. Also up'd the resistance one more notch. Had been doing 6. Did 7 a few days ago and did 8 today. Still not "pushing" it on the elliptical. Just putting in my time. Figure that's better than nothing and I'm still trying to just make sure I do at least 30 minutes of SOMETHING every day. Missed Saturday & Sunday. Was at my niece's b-day party Saturday and felt a cold coming on y'day. Then... when the water heater gave out and I knew there wouldnt' be a hot shower to follow my effort, I didn't do anything. Crummy excuse, but I was back at it today.

  2. Pam, have you started 'needing' the workouts yet or are they still a chore. It will change before you notice. I'm stir crazy now if I miss a day.

Jen, This tues and fri I work the evening shift. but maybe if we are home early enough on feb 5th I'll try to make it. I want to try the family cycle class. It's only 30 min and it's for 'newbies'. They are usually 1-2 times a month on sunday at 2pm. I'm shooting for Feb. If I go, I'll let you know. I'm off this weekend. so I'm going to try and hit a class of some kind both sat and sun

  3. No... don't "need" the workouts yet. That's part of why my goal is 30 minutes a day. I can usually guilt myself into doing 30 minutes a day knowing I waste more time than that on e-mail and facebook everyday. Committing to more than 30 minutes leaves the door too wide open for me to skip exercising. I can come up with a 1,000 reasons why I don't have 45 mins/1 hr. for a work out! I'm the queen of excuses and justification.

  4. Kathy - I saw the family cycle class and was thinking I would like to try that as well. So, I decided to suck it up last night and weigh myself and.........I LOST ANOTHER 3 POUNDS!!! Woohoo!!! I'm still frustrated with my time for 3.2 miles, but am able to run it so I guess that's good enough for now.

Pam - 30 minutes is more then alot of people do, so good for you!!

  5. Finished another 35 minutes on the elliptical about an hour ago. Kept the max setting at 8. Did a total of 7 minutes backwards. I was really starting to "feel" the backs of my legs earlier this afternoon from the 5 minutes I did backwards yesterday.

Anyone know what kind of exercise to do to get rid of the fat under your arm? You know... the area behind your boob, right under where you apply deodorant? I can pinch WAY more than an inch there!
